Definition
The Solah Language Exchange is a community-driven program where members meet to practice languages, share culture, and build connections. Sessions are informal, friendly, and designed to support learners of all levels.
Purpose
- Improve language skills through conversation and practice.
- Share cultural knowledge and experiences.
- Build a supportive, inclusive community of learners.
- Create lasting resources, like shared vocabulary sets, for current and future members.
How It Works
- Meet-ups
- Sessions are free and held in public spaces like cafés, community centers, or parks.
- Members can participate one-on-one or in small groups (3–5 people).
- Duration is usually 30–60 minutes, and punctuality is appreciated.
- Topics & Activities
- Discuss daily life, culture, hobbies, or current events.
- Practice exercises: role-play, reading aloud, or vocabulary games.
- Vocabulary sharing: Create Quizlet sets of new words and phrases to help future learners.
- Cultural exchange: share music, traditions, food, and travel experiences.

- Scheduling & Partnering
- Arrange sessions at mutually convenient times.
- Partners may rotate periodically to meet new members.
- Respect speaking time and practice active listening.
